Simplified Stress Simulator

“For me, The Cube acts as a simplified stress simulator. That is, in the duration of a game the difficulty evolves rapidly, causing challenges to my focus and patience. Reducing the difficulty below the stress threshold induces a sort of "flow state" in which I have some heightened awareness of the space around myself and am able to move quickly through sequences until the difficulty peaks again. Ideally, I can run through sequence after sequence without additional calibration by simply shifting mental details, such as associating colors with limbs, or numbers with colors. It's important to note that getting something done in the cube isn't really based on correctness - just intention and attempt. If one is focused on making the movements easier and more efficient, it is a straightforward path to lowering stress.”
